WHY DO I HAVE TO GET RESULTS THROUGH THE PATIENT PORTAL OR FACE-TO-FACE ONLY?
Due to HIPAA regulations and to protect YOUR privacy, our office does not give test results or lab results over the phone. This is NOT to frustrate you, hold your results from you or for any other reason than to protect your health information.
If you have difficulty with the patient portal, please call our office. Your results will NOT be in the portal until Dr. Ellis or Mrs. Pelham have reviewed them. They are not ready until they have been reviewed by a doctor or nurse practitioner.
Please be patient. Sometimes electronic records take a bit more time to cycle through.
If you prefer, a hard copy of your results can be picked up from the office AFTER they have been reviewed by Dr. Ellis or Mrs. Pelham.
